Abstract:
With what the world is witnessing in the light of modern technological revolution represented by the networks and social networking and new media sites, we can Arab and Islamic breaker can see the bone and force effects that leave these sites on family members and, in particular, children in these families. There is no doubt that children deal with New media is an extremely dangerous. They do not have a socially conscious or mature enough to judge the feasibility of using these tools, which are available to them extensively and without special border with the proliferation of smart phones and tablets, and with the emergence of applications continues new watsab and chat and other snab chat .
Problem of Study:
Possible for a researcher to identify the research problem and inferred through reading in the literature and statistics on social networking sites in Arab societies and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular, which concluded, including the following:And it can be formulated research problem as follows:
The use of Saudi child social networking sites and and Its Gratifications a field study on a sample of children in the city of Riyadh.
Objectives of the study:
The present study determined the most important goals in the following:
1. Identify the most important social networking sites, which used child Saudi.
2. to identify the patterns and habits of the use of child Saudi social networking sites.
The importance of the study:
2. considered social networking sites on the internet and means of communication and cultural and scientific contribution entertaining to see the different civilizations so it was important examine the motives of the children towards the Saudis.
3. This study comes in light of the lack of Arabic studies bother to examine the relationship between the use of Saudi child to social networking sites and Gratifications of these sites, as it may represent the beginning to attract more attention from researchers to study children's sites.
Questions and hypotheses of the study:
First: questions of the study:
1. What the rates and patterns of use of child study sample to social networking sites (number of times the entry of Saudi children on social networking sites / time it takes for the child to browse social networking sites / conditions of entry of the child to social networking sites / entry of the child to social networking sites preferences compared to other activities Other?
Second, the study hypotheses:
1- First hypothesis: There are statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the respondents in their motivation towards social networking sites according to the type.
Methodological steps:
1) the type of study and its methodology:
The present study sought to characterize the use of Saudi child social networking sites and Its Gratificatins realized that this use. So it is clear from the foregoing that the present study belong to the field of studies and research descriptive Descriptive Studies
_ The study sample :
It was selected a sample of 250 single children living in Riyadh sample was selected at random simple who are in the age group of 7 to 12 years.
_ Study tool:
The researcher of this study to collect data through the application against a questionnaire which included a range of themes and questions you meet the purpose of the study.
The results of the study:
/ The results of this study showed that children Saudis are turning to social networking sites for several reasons, including because they find them a new life far from the traditional life they led in fact, the ability to search for friends to communicate with them again as well as the use of some of these sites for the purpose of fame and self-proving and promotion of self-confidence (Achaabaat all important in a child's life) views ..
Formed social networking sites a way to continue the cultural, scientific, recreational Saudi child.
/ Results of this study revealed the existence of great awareness among Saudi children the dangers and damage to social networking sites.
/ Showed a variation in motivation and communication through social communication between male and female children in favor of males sites.
