Abstract:
This empirical research reveals an aspect of the journalism practice in the written press of Tunisia, practice which could hinder the process of democratic transition in this country.
The problematic of this research illustrates the analysis and monitoring of hate speech in Tunisian Newspapers.
Indeed, some words used by the Tunisian media in the description of “the other” in fueling political and ideological tensions in Tunisia.
This congestion began firstly symbolic, and then, in its material aspects.
The main goal of this paper is to contribute in the foundation of pedagogical and serious debate about media professional practice.
This is very important process in ensuring a real contribution of the media in a democratic transition, and to make a journalistic practice, free, ethical and responsible.
