Abstract:
Understanding the ways and methods of equality or not in people close relationships would provide us with comprehensive understanding of the ways we communicate. It also shows that, power [of partners] impacts on the changes of personal relationships. Although there are many theories in psychology and communication that attempt to explain the dynamic of power in close relationships, there is much to learn from the process of constructing common meanings in relationships on the basis of a contemporary theoretical concept of the interpersonal power as it is presented mainly in this research by integrating the theory of necessary communication convergence ( Miler-Day, 2004), in understanding the construction of meaning, within relational communications.
