Abstract:
The research aimed to identify the relationship between media coverage of the Israeli aggression on Gaza via social media platforms for electronic newspapers and its relationship to social fear and future anxiety among the public, by revealing the extent of the spread of media coverage of the Israeli aggression via social media sites, and identifying the extent of exposure of the Egyptian public for media coverage of the Israeli aggression via social media sites. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and within its framework, the researcher used the sample survey method, besides questionnaire and content analysis were used as tools to collect the required data, and the study was applied to a random sample of (647) individuals from the Egyptian Public through the electronic application. The analytical study was also applied to a sample of the social media platforms of Al-Youm Al-Sabea newspaper and Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper. The study concluded that there is a statistically significant correlation between the respondents’ exposure to media coverage of the Israeli aggression via the electronic newspapers’ social media sites and their level of future anxiety and social fear.
