Abstract:
The analytical study aimed to monitor, analyze and explain the use of media frameworks in addressing food security issues in a sample of international news sites directed in Arabic by identifying the most prominent issues in media treatment, revealing the effective forces highlighted by the study sites and the characteristics attributed to them, in addition to monitoring and analyzing the media treatment frameworks as reported by the study sites. The study belongs to descriptive studies, using the survey approach in light of the theory of media frames. The study sample represented the media contents on the sites (RT, Alhurra, DW) in the period from January 1, 2023 to March 31, 2023, with a total of 697 articles.
Among the most important results of the study are: The goal of "news" treatment topped the objectives of journalistic treatment related to food security issues in the study sample sites by 37.4%, and "economic topics" came at the forefront of food security issues by 47.2%, followed by "political topics" in second place by 40.2%, the "Responsibility Framework" came at the forefront of the news frameworks by 88.7%, and with regard to the active forces, it came at the forefront of "state governments" by 78.5%, and the positive features of the active forces were topped by the study sites.
