Abstract:
The study aims to identify communication roles of adolescents through social media during the Corona pandemic and its relationship to their level of anxiety within framework of theory of richness of the media. The study belongs to the descriptive studies, which it used both the media survey method and the comparative approach, relying on the two content analysis tools for a sample of the official health pages represented by the “Egyptian Ministry of Health” Face book page and the unofficial pages represented by the “My Health” Face book page, which is consistent of 57 publications, and the electronic questionnaire tool for a sample of adolescents (N=387) aged 11-15 years old. The study concluded: 1. There are no differences in the ranking of media wealth standards between official and unofficial health pages. 2. There is a statistically significant relationship between adolescents' use of social media during the Corona pandemic and their level of anxiety.
